Entry Fee (Over 14)

Entry Details

For 2026, the UK Wakesurf Nationals comes to Ullswater Wake and Surf in the Lake District — one of the homes of UK wakesurfing.

Please read all the entry details below before you register.

Places are limited. Entry is capped at 70 places, so enter early. Each registration takes one place — so a rider entering both Surf and Skim uses two. If you have a question about entering, or the event is full and you want to join the waiting list, please use the Wakesurf UK contact page.

Who can enter

The 2026 UK Wakesurf Nationals is the British National Championships. The British National Titles are open to UK nationals who are members of British Water Ski & Wakeboard (BWSW).

Riders from outside the UK are welcome to compete as well. A non-UK rider can enter if they are either:

  • a member of BWSW, or
  • a member of another IWWF-affiliated national federation.

Non-UK riders ride in the same divisions, but the British National Titles themselves are awarded to UK nationals. All riders' results count towards the IWWF Wakesurf Ranking List.

Every rider must also be registered in the IWWF Event Management System (EMS).

How to enter

Online registration closes at 23:59 on 10 July 2026. Here are the steps:

1. Start
Click the “Register for this Competition” button.

2. Your details
Fill in your details. If you are a BWSW member, include your BWSW membership number. If you are entering through another national federation, give your federation and membership details in the comments box.

3. Age category
Enter your date of birth. This sets your age category. Your age is taken as of 31 December 2026.

4. Discipline and division
Choose Surf or Skim on the form. If you want to ride in a division other than your age category, note it in the comments box. To enter both Surf and Skim, register twice — once for each discipline (see Fees below).

5. EMS licence
You need an IWWF EMS Competition Licence (Single Event). If you do not already have one, leave this box unticked — you will be charged £7 at checkout and we will arrange it for you. If you already have a current EMS licence, tick the box and you will not be charged.

6. Practice
Tick the practice option if you want a practice slot (it costs extra — see Fees below). Each rider gets one practice slot only. If you enter both Surf and Skim, tick practice on just one of your two registrations and choose which discipline to practice. Practice slots are split into Skim and Surf sessions, so book the session matching that discipline. You choose your slot after you have paid.

7. Register
Click “Register”. A summary page shows your choices.

8. Pay
Click “Check out with PayPal” and pay. Do not close your browser — click “Return to Seller” to see your confirmation.

9. Book practice
If you asked for practice, click “Book Practice”, pick your slot, and click “Save”.

Fees

Entry fee

  • Grom Girls and Grom Boys (14 and under) — £60
  • All other categories — £70

Entering both disciplines
To compete in both Surf and Skim, register twice and pay the entry fee each time. You only need to buy the IWWF EMS licence once — leave the licence box unticked on your second registration. Practice is one slot per rider too, so tick the practice option on one registration only.

Late fee
Entries after 23:59 on 26 June 2026 cost an extra £10, paid when you register.

Practice fee
£30

Paying for your entry
Pay by PayPal when you register, or within 14 days. If you do not pay within 14 days, your registration is cancelled and you will need to register again. If you register twice and miss both 14-day deadlines, you can no longer enter the event.

Licences

Every rider needs the following in place before the event:

  • National federation membership — current membership of British Water Ski & Wakeboard (BWSW), or of your own IWWF-affiliated national federation.
  • National competition licence — the competition licence issued by that federation. For BWSW members this is the BWSW Competition Licence, which is free from the BWSW website (you must be a BWSW member to get one).
  • IWWF EMS Competition Licence (Single Event) — you can buy this when you register for £7, the same price as buying it directly from EMS, but we handle the paperwork for you. If you already have a current EMS licence, choose not to buy one. If you enter both disciplines, you still only need one EMS licence.

We will check that all licences are in place before the event.

Notes

Surf and Skim boards

There are two disciplines, each with its own board type:

  • Skim — board no more than 2.54 cm (1″) thick, with a fin no deeper than 5.08 cm (2″), or no fin.
  • Surf — board more than 2.54 cm (1″) thick, with at least two fins at least 7.62 cm (3″) deep.

You must use the right board for the discipline you enter. You can enter both disciplines.
